The gay community has been up in arms recently about Barack Obama and how he has yet to really talk to any gay media outlets or address any gay issues.

I personally have already decided to vote for him. I decided months ago based on the fact that I he’s young and I think he’ll have young ideas which is what this country needs. That’s just my personal feelings on the matter and I know that everyone else has their own.

Honestly when it comes down to it I could care less whether he supports gay marriage or not, or if he talks to media outlets about it. This country is so majorly fucked at the moment that there are far, far more important things than whether he will let the gays marry. I don’t fucking care, what I do care about is that the economy gets fixed and that the useless war in Iraq is brought to an end. Our economy that affects everyone is screwed up nearly beyond repair and people are dying. Be able to get married seems pretty far down the laundry list at this moment in time.

I know that it’s a basic right that everyone should have - but guess what - we don’t have it. It’s something that yes, we need to fight for, but at the same time have to realize that it’s not going to happen overnight. I would much rather vote for someone who I feel covers more of the issues and can do the most good in the most areas rather than who will fix the one issue that I feel so strongly about.

Obama did recently speak to the Advocate though and addressed the issues which I think is good. However, if the interview came because of pressure that was being put on him, then can we even believe what he said?

And lastly, Hillary Clinton is not the ultimate fag hag, so let’s not fool ourselves into thinking that if we vote for her she’s going to get us all these rights. She’s not going to be your BFF.
