Just got back from Chicago a few hours ago. Had so much fucking fun. I got there at rush hour on Friday. I don’t know how that happened, I guess I just did a really bad job timing it out, luckily other than some bottle necking at the usual spots the traffic wasn’t bad. I had called Dennis ahead of time and their “extra” parking spot was available this weekend and since he lives 3 blocks from Mikey, it was perfect. I squeezed into the spot and went up and visited a bit. Mikey showed up a bit later and we all went to dinner at “T’s”, it was pretty good.

Mikey and I made our way back to his place and we got ready and his friend Jacob came over and we headed off to Sidetracks to meet up with Mikey’s friend Kyle. Sidetracks was okay, its not my kind of bar and it was really busy. Luckily Mikey doesn’t like it either, so we headed to Berlin shortly after. We danced and had tons of fun, by about 3am I was pretty much spent and wasted. Just about as we were to head out the door this guy pops up in front of me and says “Remember me?!” It was this guy named Jeff whom I had the hugest crush on about 5 years ago, we hung out a few times but he pretty much flaked on me. Turns out he had just been looking me up online about a week before, and I had just been thinking about him earlier that day. It was like destiny or something.

So I ended up going back to his place with him instead of going back with Mikey, it was late anyways and Mikey was hanging out with his new “friend” so I didn’t see much harm in it, not to mention I was supposed to sort of entertain myself this weekend anyways. Don’t worry, I’m a gentlemen, we just slept!

Saturday we woke up and I went back to Mikey’s and got ready and we headed to Market Days, we only stayed a few hours and we met up with Jeff and some of his friends and family there. Mikey split up from us and hung out with Jacob. Long story short I ended up spending the evening hanging out with Jeff and his cousin and we went to Berlin again and the goth bar!!! Some point in the evening also included wandering around the Lakeview trying to find red hair dye, which was unsuccessful. I was actually pretty stoked to go to the goth bar. I had never been and was curious. The music was decent and it wasn’t like weird or scary and I totally saw TWO girls I wanted to make out with. I was so confused! Haha! I ended up staying with Jeff that night too. It was me, him and his cousin in one futon bed. She thought it would be a good idea if we all slept sideways so we could fit even though it was too short in length that direction so we had to sleep all night in the fetal position. This morning we decided that was a bad idea, oh drunk decisions!

So today I hung out with Jeff a bit, had brunch with him, his cousin, and brother and then made my way back to see Mikey and Dennis  before heading out for the drive back.

I was so sad to leave. I really love Chicago and it seems like every time I go I long to stay a little more than the last time. I like Indy and all but it’s just so amazing there and there’s so much to do. I will eventually live there, I don’t know how yet. But one day! Honestly if it wasn’t for my job, I’d be packing my bags now. That’s really the only thing that truly keeps me here.

Other random things, Mikey’s friend Kyle got drunk Friday night and left the bar alone, ended up getting mugged in an alley and had to go to the hospital and get stitches. Yikes! Note to self to never wander around dark alleys in Chicago alone! Also scored an Armani Exchange t-shirt and Diesel jeans at a second hand store for $40. Both are brand new.
