I’m not one to talk too much politics on here, but can I just say that I’m fucking pumped that Obama won!? It’s been a long crazy race, and as another blogger pointed out that even though it might have divided the party some at least it did get everyone energized to get involved. This is the first primary that I’ve personally voted in as I felt it was equally as important as voting for the next president.

I was on the phone talking to someone tonight and made a possible realization. I personally think it would be smart for Obama to take Hillary on as his VP. After I made the statement that it would be a good idea because it would pull the party together I realized that perhaps she had drug it out this long so that she would intentionally pull the party apart, thus she would be the best pick for him to help bring the party back together. I’m probably not the first person to think of this, but it was an interesting thought none the less.

I’ll vote democrat either way, and if she got it I would have been happy to vote for her. However, I am truly happy that Obama got it because she has made several missteps along the way. The biggest being her assassination comment. That can be taken several ways, but I think there was only one way she meant it, and I think it was a very hurtful thing for her to say and a total misstep as her chances at the nomination were slipping faster and faster.

It’s been a long hard run, congrats Obama! And I hope that all the Hillary fans out there won’t be stubborn and continue to support the Democratic party.
