I finally got a Wii this week. I’ve been wanting one for oh… 18 months now?

Technically if I really wanted one I could have gotten one much earlier, but I was so fair weather about looking for one that I didn’t really make it a point to hunt for them. The fact of the matter is that I didn’t want to be one of those people who goes crazy looking for them. Not my thing.

Actually I didn’t even find it. Jdub did. I went on a lunch hour goose chase for one that was 45 minutes away. Half a tank of gas later, I was still without a Wii.

Jdub had the day off, so I suggested that he look for one. I meant check one or two places, he ended up spending half an afternoon hitting like a dozen places and finally scored me one at an off the beaten path GameStop.

Later Wedneday evening I came to the quick conclusion that the extras for this thing are what gets you. I bought Wii Play (with controller) and Okami and spent $75, and that was with the $20 discount I got for turning in my GameCube.

But it was all well worth it! WIIIIIIIIII!
