My name is Shan Parker, 25, and I reside in downtown Indianapolis, Indiana. I have a kitty named Kumiko, which I often times find to be more needy than a small child. I also often have fish from time to time - but I kill them so fast they aren’t worth much a mention here.
Four piercings - lip, naval, lobes gauged (size 2). nineteen tattoos - Kanji for “Pride” on my left pec, 7 inch tribal sun with Kanji for “Happiness” on my center back (counted as 2), my name in Arabic on my right foot, dragonfly on my left ankle, and the words “Feel The Sun” under my naval, Tegan & Sara lyrics on my left inner arm, a Everclear lyric band around my right ankle, the roman numeral twenty two on my ribs, two swallows on my stomach, 3 stars on my left calf, a Union Jack on my left forearm, a crown that says “King for the moment” on the back of my neck, “Love is Medicine” design on my right calf, my parents names in old Gothic text on my forearms, 13 black crows around my neckline, gothic distressed text that says “Don’t Fear the End” on my right side and a fleur-di-lis on my left inside ankle. You could say I’m a bit of a tattoo enthusiast.
So yeah, I’m gay. I came out when I was 18, my parents weren’t real happy about that, but they love me regardless. I’ve had an insane “love” life - which I think is what most people like to read for.
Blurbology is my 4th reincarnation of a journal and hopefully my last. I am a webmaster for a Marketing Group here in Indianapolis. I went to school for that if you’re wondering. My website has never really gotten me in too much trouble. Never lost a job over it, yet. Lost a few friends, and shit hit the fan with my parents once over it.
I grew up in a very, very small town called “Birds, Illinois” when I was 15 my parents house got flooded so we moved the entire house into the middle of butt-fuck-egypt. After graduating high school I attended Vincennes University for two years, the second year I moved out on my own. It was a serious year full of hate crimes, parties, cops, and one flaming queen.
Five days after graduating I moved to Indianapolis, which is where my “It was the best of times, it was the worst of times …” story really began. Cheating, drug dealing/using, uncommiting, and abusive boyfriends, more drama, new jobs. All fun stuff really.
So thanks for reading - and you should tell all your friends how totally awesome I am.
